Wwii U. S. Marine Corps P44 Camouflage Uniform Jacket & Trouser Set

  
This is a nice World War II U. Marine Corps P44 reversable camouflaged jacket and trouser set that is in very good field used condition. Both the jacket and the trousers are constructed of herringbone twill reversable green and brown frog skin pattern camouflage material with good color remaining. The jacket is ink stamped in the collar area with the size, 38 and a handwritten laundry mark, R-9660. The tips of each collar are lightly inked with the tactical marking, 247. Both large front breast pockets are intact along with their functional snaps and remain unmodified. MARINE CORPS marked medal button are in place. The trousers have a small spot of what appears to be tar on the lower part of the left leg. There is some light fraying in one spot of left leg cuff hem and one larger frayed spot on the right cuff hem which can be seen in the photos. This is nothing at all significant when considering the over all condition of the scarce set. The side pocket flap snaps are functional and the large back pocket undamaged. There is an old two-inch tear in the material at the top of the left pocket flap as shown in the photos. There are a few very small snag holes in the material here and there but again, nothing at all serious and not in the least distracting.

This a wonderful P44 camouflage uniform set that remains in very good field used condition and displays beautifully. Please do not ask for additional measurements as these historic uniforms are to be respected and honored. They have done their service and are now to be preserved and cared for not worn.
